Elise is a Nurse Practitioner with specialist training in Skin and Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. After graduating with a Bachelor of Nursing in 2000, Elise began her post graduate training in operating theatres specifically focused on the wholistic training provided in Day Surgery. During this time she also worked within a private specialist Plastic Surgery practice, learning skin and wound management.

In July 2007, Elise completed a Graduate Certificate in Business Administration with specific interest in Management, all whilst still working within the practice and the operating theatres.

In 2008, Elise was offered a mentorship with Dr Hugh Bartholomeusz, a Plastic and Reconstructive surgeon with two practices in Ipswich and Greenslopes. He then mentored her through her Nurse Practitioner Studies and in July 2011, Elise graduated the University of Queensland with a Masters of Nurse Practitioner Studies, specializing in surgical assisiting for Plastic and Reconstructive procedures and skin and wound management.

With over 17 years experience, Elise’s passion for Skin Health has lead her to the creation of Skin Health Solutions. Skin Health Solutions aims to focus management of a wide range of skin conditions with an emphasis on education to guide preventative skin management.

Elise has an internationally and locally published clinical paper and is a regularly sought speaker on matters in her specialty area. Elise is also a proud member of the Australian College of Nurses, the Australian College of Nurse Practitioners, and the Perioperative Nurses Association of Queensland.

She is also a mother of two, and an active member of her children’s school P&F committee and community. Elise is a keen runner and golfer and loves to spend her holidays travelling with her family and skiing.
